I know what is good and evil because of a couple of reasons. One is through my instincts. I can tell what is right by thinking about it. Another way is through the law. The law is a rough guideline to what is right and wrong. It tells people what not to do. I can tell who is evil by what they say. If they swear or make racist or offensive jokes it is likely that they are evil. People who act suspiciously around people are also likely to be evil. People who ask strange questions could also be evil.
Sorry Jesse's thumbs up classed my page as hacking.

Free Will and Determinism
If there is no free will then there would be no good and evil. The world would no longer have evil in it but with that comes a price. There would be no good. No one would be good. Our lives would have nothing interesting in them. We would not be able to do anything. Decisions are what make us who we are; decisions are what shapes us; without decisions the human race would not advance and everything would about our society would be the same for the rest of eternity.
Moral and Conscience
A
friend of yours, who is also a popular and well-known student, boasts to you
that he/she has managed to steal a copy of the semester science exam. He/she is
prepared to sell it to anyone for $10.00. This test has a 50% weighting on the
overall result. What do you do? Would you buy a copy for yourself? Would you
report the incident?
The
issue in this situation is that my friend is selling an important test.
It
is important because it will count towards 50% of my science mark.
My
decision will affect my marks, my friends, my teachers and my parents
The
choices I could make are report the incident, ignore the incident or buy a
copy.
The
likely consequences for each choice is reported would affect my relationships
with my friends, ignored would affect no one and buying would affect my parents
and my teachers.
My
family would tell me to report the incident however some of my
friends would tell me to buy a copy.
Jesus
would tell me to report the incident.
Wise
judgment, courage and justice apply to this as you have to judge the situation
wisely and justly and you need to be courageous to report it the incident.
The
church teaches me that doing the right thing is important and sinning is not a
good option.
Therefore,
the decision I would make is to report the incident.

Genesis Study
Genesis 1 Wordle
Genesis 2 Wordle
Genesis 3 Wordle
The dominant themes in the Wordle for Genesis 1 are God,
Earth, Light, Creatures, Sky, Day, Water Ground and good. For Genesis 2 the
main themes are Man, God, Lord, Garden, Ground, Earth and Good. The third
chapters main themes are Lord, God, Tree, Eat, Women, Garden, Man, Life, Fruit,
Serpent, Food, Good and Evil.
It is interesting how good appears as a large word in the
Wordles for Genesis 1 and 2 however in three Good is half the size and evil
appears as the same size. There was almost no evil till the Serpent came out. I
believe that this means that the world was half evil half good until humans
learnt from their mistakes.
Definition of temptation: “A desire to do something, esp. something wrong or unwise:
"he resisted the temptation to call Celia"; "we gave in to
temptation”
In
life there is always something that will tempt us. Sometimes it might be
something like unhealthy foods. Other times you could be tempted to make the
wrong decision with your friends. Temptation can sometimes cause people to do
something extremely bad such as steal. Temptation will always tempt people to
make the wrong decision. Temptation can be ignored and if everyone ignored temptation
there would be a lot less evil just like in the first to chapters of Genesis.
This
study has shown how temptation makes up for most of the evil in the world and
how without temptation there would be less evil to worry about and everyone
would feel safer.

Osama bin laden

known terrorists ever. His first offence was when he blew up a car. Eventually

Plato and Christian Beliefs on Good and Evil
Plato
Plato was a Greek philosopher born around 429 BC. He went to listen to Socrates and learnt about philosophy. Plato was disappointed when Socrates was killed in 399 BC and began to write down some conversations they had. Plato then began writing about his ideas on Philosophy as well. Plato believed that everything in the world had an ideal form and used a metaphor about a cave to describe it. If someone was chained up in a cave they could only see things inside the cave. They would only ever see shadows which they would believe the real world is. Plato believed that we could only see what we believed the real world was because we were trapped in our bodies. A tree for example would have an ideal form in our mind yet we cannot see it.
According to Plato humans ideal forms were their soul.
Plato thought that our soul was divided into three parts. Our natural
desire, our will and our reason. Hunger is a natural desire
however your will lets you control your hunger and your reason tells you when
you should eat or when you shouldn’t eat. If any of these parts are out of balance
you would be a bad person. If your
natural desire is too strong you will be unable to control thing such as your
hunger, sleep and violence so you will be eating at the wrong time or you would
be violent towards others. If your will is too strong you may end up not eating
entirely. If your reason is too strong you may be eating at completely the
wrong time.
Christian
Christians believe that
God has given them free will to choose between right and wrong. The Ten
Commandments are God’s way of showing people the right way to live. According
to Christians God is good and Satan is evil. Jesus died on the cross for the
forgiveness of our sins. Some Christians believe that humans are born with evil
because of the first sins committed by the first humans Adam and Eve.
Christians also believe that some people have demons inside them and need to be
healed. Jesus was said to of healed many people from demons in the Bible, which
is a book that contains the events that Christians believe in.
